Matt Daugherty

Matt is a Partner and Financial Advisor for Balanced Wealth Group. He grew up watching his grandfather and his father work closely with clients in the financial planning field. The personal relationships, the flexibility to control their schedules and lead teams, and the difference they made in people’s lives drew him right into this business. Matt has been helping clients for over 22 years and has worked diligently to help other aspiring advisors grow and learn how to do the right thing, empower action, and help their clients to make confident financial decisions. Matt has the Equity Compensation Associate designation and specializes in helping professionals and executives manage their benefit plans and transition into retirement. 

Matt grew up in North Canton, left for Ohio University, and then moved to the Cleveland area, where he met Katie. Matt and Katie now reside in Avon, along with their children Vivian and Ethan. They attend Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where Matt also teaches PSR classes. He is also involved with Junior Achievement of Greater Cleveland and the Ohio University Finance Advisory Council to the College of Business. Matt balances his work with his family and his own passions for paddleboarding, boating, fishing, and organized races and triathlons.
